Today, it’s much easier (and in many cases simply faster) to fire off an email to a client or vendor than it is to call. However, over at the Intuit Small Business Blog they take a look at whether this is really the best way to go. Here are some reasons they give why you might pick up the phone instead of the keyboard:

- It can minimize confusion
- It can help you be proactive
- It can help you get insight and give you more power to negotiate
While there are some areas where email might be best – such as listing detailed instructions or specifications – it’s certainly something to think about.
